Intern Introduction: Meet Alyssa and Charlotte

As summer 2021 kicks off, TRINDGROUP eagerly welcomes our newest interns: Alyssa and Charlotte. These two hard-working women are seniors at Auburn University studying public relations. Both interns will be graduating in December, but for now we are thrilled to have them join our team!

Alyssa and Charlotte will be producing work for TRINDGROUP clients and gaining invaluable real-world experience to prepare them for their future endeavors. They will dive into the public relations world by assisting in content development, conducting research and contributing to marketing campaigns. We hope they leave TRINDGROUP with knowledge of the inner workings of an agency and a positive outlook on the PR industry.

What are you most looking forward to during your time at TRINDGROUP?
I’m so excited to gain real-world experience! It’s one thing to learn about it in a classroom setting and another to experience it. I hope to be involved in a lot of social media and writing projects. 

Campus and community involvement:
During my time at Auburn, I had the pleasure of being involved in the publicity committee for The Big Event, a student-led organization that strives to give back to the Auburn community. In addition, I was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. I was humbled when they named me Human Resources Director and Chief External Affairs Officer. 

Plans after graduation:
After graduating from Auburn, I want to move closer to my family. Once relocated, I plan to pursue a career in public relations. I’m hopeful to find something in the fashion industry. 

Favorite class taken at Auburn?
My favorite class was  “Multimedia Writing for PR” with Mrs. Bridges! She helped me understand what daily life as a public relations professional would look like and how to be successful in the industry. I felt most prepared for the “real world” after taking her class. 

Favorite snack?
I love Hot Cheetos – although I have to make sure I have a big glass of water beside me when I eat them!

What are you most looking forward to during your time at TRINDGROUP?
This summer I am most looking forward to gaining real-world experience that will prepare me for my future. I’m also excited to develop new relationships with everyone and improve my writing skills!

Campus and community involvement:
On campus, I am a member of PRSSA and a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. Within the community I am a frequent volunteer with Reading Is Fundamental, a program dedicated to providing children with books.

Plans after graduation:
After graduation, I plan on moving back to Atlanta where I intend on pursuing a career in PR. Ultimately, I’d love to work in the sports/entertainment industry!

Favorite class taken at Auburn?
My favorite class has definitely been Style and Design. I was able to learn important professional skills and receive multiple certifications through the class, and even created my own personal logo and website.

Favorite snack?
Baby Goldfish and Diet Coke: a heavenly combo.

Although they have only been at TRINDGROUP for a few days, Alyssa and Charlotte are already off to an amazing start and are beginning to feel at home. Over the course of the ten-week internship, our PR interns will be contributing valuable work for the agency and our clients. We can’t wait to see all that they achieve this summer!
